A New Museum for Newark & District
Newark and Sherwood District Council are working with the community to create a new museum for the district by developing the Old Magnus Buildings on Appleton Gate. The museum will be a major addition to the region’s cultural offer and house a national centre for Civil War learning.
Our aim is to open the new museum in 2014.
The Friends of Newark & Sherwood Museum Service are key to the project and aim to raise between £50,000 and £100,000 towards capital funding.
